About the Presenter:
Caitlin Miller is the Director of Emergency Management for the Town of Canmore. Having grown up in Canmore, Caitlin sees the effects of a changing climate and is keen to help her community be prepared in the face of new or increasingly frequent hazards. Caitlin incorporates the climate emergency into her municipal emergency management planning and believes that the quickly changing climate is making it challenging for local communities to adequately prepare for the impact of natural hazards. Caitlin has a Masters of Public Safety from Wilfrid Laurier University and a passion for lifelong learning.
What is Earth Talks?
Earth Talks is a new program coming to the CPL, in collaboration with the Biosphere Institute of the Bow Valley, to bring you monthly environmental speakers and conversations relevant to our community.
On one Monday evening each month, we will be joined by Biosphere staff in the Friends Program Room at 7:00pm for an Earth Talk. Earth Talks will typically be held on the third Monday of the month, with a few exceptions.
Admission is free, with donations graciously accepted.
